by bipartisan vote, Assembly Joint Resolution (AJR) 12, demanding immediate funding and an
emergency declaration to address the growing environmental disaster at the Tijuana River watershed, which releases billions of gallons of untreated sewage and continues to cause chaos in South San Diego County.

Additional vote centers open Saturday allowing voters to cast their ballot early at any one of more than 200 vote centers in the county. These locations will be open for four days leading up to and including the final day of voting, March 5. Vote centers allow voters to avoid long lines by voting early.
The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, March 4. On the final day of voting, Tuesday, March 5, all vote centers and official ballot drop boxes will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), the County of San Diego and FEMA, along with state and local partners, will open Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) in San Diego County starting Friday, March 1, 2024.
These temporary facilities are set up to help survivors recover from the severe storm and flooding from Jan. 21-23, 2024.
Survivors have through April 19, 2024 to apply for assistance. Immigration status checks are not available at the DRCs.
All centers operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. PT, seven days a week unless otherwise noted.
