On February 14, the Sweetwater Authority (Authority) Governing Board
(Board) voted to implement a twelve-month freeze on late fees and
discontinuation of water service for non-payment for customers who
sustained flood damage during recent winter storms.
The moratorium aims to alleviate financial stress and provide customers
with the opportunity to focus on recovery efforts.
The South County Economic Development Council (SCEDC) is offering valuable
assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various
resources at no cost.

South County EDC is a non-profit business organization that partners
with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC) to
offer support to the manufacturing companies in
South
San Diego County.
California's presidential primary is March 5, 2024, and political parties decide who can vote for their presidential candidates.
You may need to take certain steps to vote for the presidential candidate you want in the primary election. Learn more about voting in the Presidential Primary Election.
The County of San Diego has begun providing people displaced from their homes by the Jan. 22 flooding with up to 30-days of temporary lodging.
The first people transitioning are in two categories: Those already placed into short-term hotel rooms where supporting funding is now running out and those who have not been in hotels and may now need temporary lodging due to the Jan. 22 flood.
The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California.
Businesses of any industry, size, or location compete for over $180 million available in tax credits by applying in one of the three application periods each year.
Applications Open: March 4, 2024 to March 18, 2024.
The South County EDC has launched a Resources and Tools for helping NonProfits get various funding and other resources.
