The 1,600-room resort hotel and convention center is slated to open in
the summer of 2025. In the meantime, developers are riding its coattails
of success. The Pacifica Companies are set to break ground on their
ambitious Amara Bay development one block away from Gaylord Pacific.
The 35-acre project will include a 250-room hotel, seven towers with
1,500 condominiums, and 400,000 square feet of commercial and office
space.

The new budget deal in Congress includes $156 million to fix the rundown International Wastewater Treatment Plant. That's the facility on our side of the border that takes the sewage coming from Tijuana and cleans it up before it goes into the river valley and ocean.

Our students at the Young Entrepreneur Academy, hosted by the South County Economic Development Council (SCEDC), are actively learning how to start their own businesses and are eager to make a difference.
Currently they are currently on spring break, taking a well-deserved rest before continuing their entrepreneurial journey.
