On April 2nd, the South County EDC held its Monthly Board meeting, which was hosted by PSAR.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Patrick Batten, Director of Public Affairs at Southwestern Strategies, as well as JoAnn Fields and Spencer Stein from San Diego County Live Well at Work, for their valuable contributions as presenters.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA) is thrilled to announce the continuation of our empowering sessions, where budding entrepreneurs delve into the art of pitching their innovative business ideas to potential clients. This week's focus centered on refining pitching skills, thanks to the invaluable insights shared by our esteemed presenters: Ashley Gonzales, financial advisor at Edward Jones, and Willie Armas, retired from U.S. Bank.
Furthermore, our students received invaluable guidance and wisdom during the CEO Roundtable from Scott Andrews, President of Neighborhood National Bank, and Tony McCune. We are also eagerly anticipating a special session with David Wick, where further inspiration and mentorship will be offered to our aspiring young business leaders.

Consecutive wet winters combined with regional investments and conservation by residents and businesses mean that San Diego County has enough water to meet the region’s needs for 2024 and the foreseeable future. That’s good news for the region’s economy, which runs on water.
