The South County Economic Development Council is offering valuable assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various resources at no cost.
These resources include wage subsidies, workforce development programs, operational assistance, and more.
Scott Goldstein, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy at the U.S. Department of Transportation, gave a presentation at the SCEDC Infrastructure Forum held on November 14th.

The City of San Diego unveiled an online tool Friday to allow San Diegans to access permit activity and historical data as part of a continued effort to expedite processing times.

As we embrace the colder months and approach the end of the year, we’re delighted to share some exciting updates and initiatives from Southwestern College. It is our commitment to provide the best educational experiences and opportunities, not only within our local community but on a national scale.
Southwestern College is proud to introduce the University Now Initiative (UNI) in partnership with the City of Chula Vista, a collaborative project to identify the academic programs needed to meet the workforce demand of our binational region.
The County of San Diego has been chosen to team up with a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) global research center, which will provide technical assistance on the evaluation of a County pilot program aiming to keep low-income seniors from becoming homeless.
