The South County Economic Development Council’s Annual Economic Summit
gathers together over 500 business and community leaders, in addition
to public officials, and is considered one of the premier business
events in San Diego. The Annual Economic Summit offers a myriad of

The Imperial Beach Pier is being spruced up in a $2 million project that builds on improvements made to the pier last year in a joint venture by the Port of San Diego and the City of Imperial Beach.

Chula Vista Zero Waste Academy Starts February 9
The Office of Sustainability is offering its first-ever 7-session in-person
Zero Waste Academy course to educate Chula Vista residents on the concepts
and practices of Zero Waste.
Opportunities to gain knowledge and become advocates for implementing
Zero Waste practices will be highly encouraged. A key course theme:
many "wastes" are actually "resources" which can be used again
until their useful life is no more. The weekly course will be offered
in February 9 to March 23, 2023. Participants who complete the course
will be recognized as “Chula Vista Zero Waste Champions.
Are you proud of your water-saving landscape? Share it with others by entering this year’s WaterSmart Landscape Contest.
The deadline to enter is Friday, May 12, 2023.
