The South County Economic Development Council is proud to announce
the return of our highly anticipated Infrastructure Forum, taking
place on August 15, 2025.
Back by popular demand, this event will convene elected officials,
local agencies, and business leaders for a critical conversation
about the investments shaping the future of our region. With growing
momentum around housing development, hospitality expansion, and
national brand interest, now is the time to align efforts to support
infrastructure that keeps pace with progress.
Join us for engaging discussions on transportation, roads, connectivity,
and essential community services — and be part of the movement
to ensure South County’s continued growth and prosperity. We invite
you to support this impactful event through
sponsorship and partnership.
Let’s work together to build a stronger, more connected future.
This panel will explore the critical connection between infrastructure investment and public health. Experts from healthcare systems, developers, and local agencies will discuss how new medical facilities, emergency response infrastructure, and healthcare access points are being designed to meet the evolving needs of our communities—ensuring long-term resilience, equity, and wellness in South County.
Essential services are the backbone of any thriving region. This discussion will dive into how South County is planning and investing in the delivery of clean water, broadband connectivity, reliable energy, and sustainable waste management. Panelists will share how agencies and utilities are upgrading systems, meeting environmental goals, and working to close service gaps in underserved areas.
From ports to highways, from transit to freight—South County’s infrastructure is vital to the movement of both people and goods. This panel will bring together transportation planners, port officials, and logistics experts to discuss major projects on the horizon, regional coordination, and what the future holds for how we get around and support economic activity across the border and beyond.
We’re honored to welcome Consul General Christopher Teal to the South County EDC Infrastructure Forum for a featured discussion on border infrastructure. He will share how the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana is working to improve mobility, coordination, and investment at the border.
Learn how these efforts are shaping a stronger, more connected binational region.
"As South County experiences rapid growth and investment, this
