Culturally Responsive Leadership in K-12 Education

The call for culturally responsive and equitable school systems is slowly getting louder, but what does that mean and what does that look like in practice? Join some of the top leaders in education policy and practice in a deep discussion about the leadership moves and public policies needed to truly begin to disrupt racism and inequities within and across schools and school systems. The Leadership Academy Chief Access & Equity Officer Mary Rice-Boothe will moderate a conversation among The Leadership Academy President & CEO Nancy GutiƩrrez, The Education Trust President & CEO John B. King Jr., and Denver Public Schools Superintendent Susana Cordova.

These experts together will grapple with such questions as:

  • Where do racism and inequity live in our schools and school systems?
  • What can school system leaders do immediately and in the long term to disrupt racist and inequitable systems and structures?
  • What local, state and national policies are needed to support and facilitate the dismantling of racist and inequitable systems and structures in K-12 education?

The webinar will be 60-minutes in length with a Q&A. Featured guests are listed below.
