LoRaWAN® FOR GOOD
The first of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is to end poverty. Despite SDG 1 ’s target to achieve less than three percent of the world’s population living in extreme poverty by 2030, estimates project the rate will be closer to six percent. Though progress has been made, there is more work to be done. The challenge to eliminate poverty can be addressed by technological innovations to ensure access to basic services, improve resiliency to disasters and provide equal opportunities to people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. LoRaWAN innovations which exemplify tech for social good in support of ending poverty are featured below.
