In light of the lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Elite Garages have had to make certain changes to ensure the safety of staff, suppliers and customers alike.

Please contact your local branch to discuss any bookings as we are running at lower capacity.

Cleaning and Hygiene

Stringent handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds taking place
Providing hand sanitiser in multiple locations in addition to washrooms
Hand sanitiser available at entrance of reception waiting rooms
Frequent cleaning of busy areas and equipment between uses
Increased cleaning of objects/surfaces, especially those that are touched regularly, e.g. door handles, vehicle keys
Using signage to encourage handwashing, hand sanitising etc

Distancing

Extra precautions regarding personal space and social distancing
2 metre social distance to be enforced
Where 2 metre distance is not possible, a distance of ‘1 metre +’ shall be maintained. This means that 1m will be maintained alongside additional risk mitigation such as: wearing face coverings, installing screens, providing extra handwashing or hand sanitising facilities
All vehicle windows will be opened to ensure full ventilation
Waiting room chairs to be spaced 1m apart. Where waiting room capacity is limited, seating to be prioritised to customers whom the staff deem need it
Signage on wall to enforce social distancing

Face Coverings

All visitors, including customers and contractors, required to wear a face covering when inside the premises unless medically exempt under regulations. Signage to enforce face coverings
Employees to wear face coverings in reception and inside customer vehicles
Social distancing to be followed by employees who are around anyone not wearing a face covering
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser before putting a face covering on and after removing it. Change face covering if it becomes damp or you have touched it

Screens

Installation of physical barrier/ screen at reception desk
Screens are cleaned regularly

Working on Vehicles

Employees to wash hands before boarding vehicles or operating equipment
Seat covers used with every vehicle
Face coverings worn inside customer vehicles
Clean gloves to be worn when working on customer vehicles

Facilities

Coffee machines in waiting rooms decommissioned to reduce contact
Magazines removed from waiting rooms
