The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a groundbreaking and exciting
program that transforms local high school students into real, confident
entrepreneurs.
Through the year-long program, students generate business ideas, conduct
market research, write business plans, pitch to a panel of investors,
and launch their very own companies.
Hands-on business planning with expert mentors in all aspects of business development
Legal formation of a business (EIN, Business License, etc.)
Involves several essential steps to ensure State Compliance.
Opportunity to pitch for seed funding (last year awards ranged from $500 to $2,500)
Top business moves on to a national competition for scholarships and funding up to $65,000
Business Planning
The program will equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary
to create a solid business plan, laying the foundation for their
ventures.
Navigating Regulations
We will assist students in understanding and obtaining the necessary
permits and licenses required for their businesses.
Pitching Skills
Young entrepreneurs will receive training on how to effectively pitch
their business ideas, a critical skill for attracting investors and
customers.
Access to Funding
YEA! will provide opportunities for students to seek startup funding,
helping them turn their ideas into profitable ventures.
