Melissa Duff Brown is the Director of Strategy at Joseph Consulting & Business Services and All Related Entities, a full-service business consultant who helps entrepreneurs, mid-market firms, and public-sector partners grow revenue, access capital, modernize operations, and adopt new technology with confidence. Based in Forest Park, Illinois, she is known for making complex topics simple and turning strategy into measurable results, whether the work is a growth plan, a grant or RFP, a financial model, a process overhaul, or an AI roadmap.
Her consulting spans the full business lifecycle: business strategy and scaling, financial management and capital formation, market research, operations and technology, project management, grants and RFP support, and custom training. Today much of that work centers on helping owners use AI responsibly and practically, she has delivered AI maturity assessments for 100+ small and mid-sized businesses, cutting proposal development time by an average of 40%, but AI is one tool inside a toolkit built over more than two decades.
That experience runs deep. Melissa began her career as a small-business accountant and went on to lead teams and multi-million-dollar budgets across banking, hospitality, construction, and local government. As a longtime leader in the Illinois SBDC network, past-president of the Illinois Entrepreneurship & Small Business Growth Association, a 2018 Illinois SBDC State Star, and a current State Advisory Board member, to date she has trained more than 20,000 business owners and helped shape strategies tied to thousands of jobs created or retained and significant capital and contract wins.
